Grass certainly has a softer texture than hard concrete or paving. However, there can be uneven areas on grass, so we recommend mounting the tent on a flat, grassy surface if possible. With this in mind, professional installers can erect a massive 40-foot wide tent usually is less than three hours. They can also utilize several accessories that help secure your tent before, during, and after the event has concluded. This includes but is not limited to:

• Stakes can be inserted into grass surfaces to help your tent remain vertical and intact. However, they should be positioned at least 5-feet from each leg of the frame tent. Stakes offer additional security for your tents and guarantee stability and proper positioning across the unit.
• As part of ETI’s accessories section, we offer ratchet straps and guy ropes. These units should be attached between each leg and stake. For a 40×100 outdoor frame tent, we recommend working from the corners and then work inwards.
• Ropes can also be looped via exterior rings on the tent. The bottoms should be tied to the stake with a double-loop clove hitch knot.
• Ratchet straps can even be used in place of ropes. ETI features many accessories that help fasten and secure any outdoor tent for commercial or family events.
• It is also important to secure slack lines. Ratchet straps can be attached to the ratchet buckllle. Excess rope can even be folded and placed around the stake for added protection.

All ETI tents come with detailed assembley instructions and visual diagrams. These are essential for your installation crews so they can install and maintain the tent to desired settings. If staking a tent on public or commercial property, you may need to get permission or a permit first. You have to be in full compliance with local laws and guidelines when it comes to installing outdoor tents.
